Poker StoriesPoker has a long rooted history. A history that lead back to the time of revolution when poker was a pretty popular game. Poker was so popular that every kid must have heard stories from their parents and grand parents. Poker stories are basically related to the game’s experience and moments, which the players faced.

You can find different genres in Poker stories. The subject of those stories can be simple sharing of experience, discussing the games rules, discussing the different hands, discussing the strategy of the game, stories on legendary players, poker tales etc. poker stories are more famous with teenagers and beginner of the game. The best parts of these stories are its simplicity and catchy language.

In my childhood days I was very fond of my grand father because every evening he would sit with me and tell me stories about his poker experience. He also taught me the game of poker at an early age. My first dollar was earned when I beat my grand pa in a simple draw game. I was ten, then. He told me the story a woman poker player who was known as Poker Alice. The woman came to America in 1860 and married a mining engineer, who was regular poker player in the local gambling parlors. She accompanied him and learned the game from her husband. But the most interesting part is that after the death of her husband she chooses poker playing as the medium of earning. She ended up her career with $5000, at that time it was a good amount. This story really inspired me to play poker.

There are poker stories, which actually told the games cruelty and the importance of strategic game play. From these stories one can actually learn the game better by sharing the un-experienced events. The experienced players mainly write these kinds of stories and these are more like suggestions for amateur players and for the new comers.

Success poker stories can be an interesting genre, where the story of successful players can be interesting read. Like for instance, the story of Chris Moneymaker, the man who won the World Series of Poker, 2003. An ordinary 27 years old accountant who actually won a prize money of $2.5 million. He learned playing poker online.
